Supplementary Planning Document Consultation 2019
What is this consultation about?
Plymouth City Council, South Hams District Council and West Devon Borough Council have prepared and are consulting on the draft Plymouth and South West Devon Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
Once adopted, the SPD will be a material planning consideration when making decisions and will supersede those previously adopted SPDs across the JLP authorities listed in the document.
In addition to the SPD, two companion documents have also been updated/produced and are available for comment, these are:
- Developer Contributions Evidence Base, which presents methodologies used to calculate the value of developer contributions; and,
- Traditional Farm Buildings: Their adaptation and re-use (Barn Guide) which aids developers looking to adapt or re-use traditional farm buildings which are common in rural areas.
We are also consulting the relevant statutory agencies on the draft Strategic Environmental Appraisal (SEA) and Habitat Regulation Assessment (HRA) Screening Opinion. We will publish the Screening Opinion and any comments received in due course.
The deadline for comments on all documents is 5pm on Monday 6 January 2020.
A consultation statement has also been produced and is available for information only. It sets out the JLP authorities approach to engagement on both the draft SPD and the draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) which is also out for consultation and sets out details on data protection:
