There are events taking place throughout the year which you can take part in to promote sustainable travel to your employees.

National Walk to Work Day - 1 April 2022

National Walk to Work Day – get involved! Taking simple steps to improve your health could pay dividends years down the line. Taking part also helps you reduce carbon emissions, add some healthy movement to your day, and generally appreciate the world around you more.

The Big Walk and Wheel 2022 – March 21 to April 1 2022

Sponsored by UK cycling charity Sustrans, The Big Walk and Wheel – Previously known as The Big Pedal is the UK’s largest inter-school cycling and scooter-based challenge that aims to inspire and empower kids, teachers and parents to get on two wheels in order to make the daily trek to school.

On Your Feet Britain - 28 April 2022

On Your Feet Britain is a national event which wants workers across the country to come together and take part in a variety of fun and simple activities to get them to move more while at work.

National Walking Month - 1 to 31 May 2022

National Cycle to Work Day - 4 August 2022

Cycle to Work Day is the UK's biggest commuting event which is for everyone, it doesn't matter if you haven't cycled in years or have never cycled before. It's just about giving it a go!

European Mobility Week - 16 to 22 September 2022

European Mobility Week seeks to improve public health and quality of life through promoting clean mobility and sustainable urban transport. The campaign gives people the chance to explore the role of city streets and to experiment with practical solutions to tackle urban challenges, such as air pollution.

World Car Free Day - 22 September 2022

World Car Free Day is an annual celebration of cities and public life, free from the noise, stress and pollution of cars. A car-free day encourages motorists to give up their cars for a day and perhaps try a different mode of transport. 

National Fitness Day - 22 September 2022

National Fitness Day is the most active day of the year, when people of all ages and backgrounds come together to celebrate the fun of fitness. Commute Smart Week is a campaign designed to raise the awareness of implementing smarter ways of commuting during the winter months, for example by offering more flexible ways to work so that businesses are less affected by poor weather and disrupted travel.

Road Safety Week is a national campaign that aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life-saving messages during the week and beyond. It also provides a focal point for professionals working in road safety to boost awareness and engagement in their work.
