Temporary cycle path is created through Plymouth city centre

A temporary cycle path through Armada Way has been created.

The new link between North Cross and Royal Parade separates cyclists and pedestrians using bollards and water-filled barriers and leads to new cycle parking outside Plymouth Guildhall.

It's one of the measures being delivered through our recent successful bid to the Department for Transport’s Emergency Active Travel Fund.

The path will help promote cycling as a replacement for journeys made by public transport while capacity on buses remains reduced and is expected to be in place for up to 12 months.

Bollards, markings and signs are already in place and tactile paving will soon be installed alongside the bollards
