Christmas Lights Switch-on

The Christmas holiday is officially here once our Christmas lights in the city centre are switched on.

Christmas Lights Switch-on

The Christmas holiday calendar officially kicks off with the switch-on of this year’s beautiful Christmas lights on Thursday 14 November, marking the start of late-night shopping.

The fun starts in the City Centre Piazza from 4pm with a variety of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Hosted by Radio Plymouth, watch incredible performances from local school groups, theatre groups and the fabulous Party Princesses.

Closing the evening programme will be The Sound – a four-piece indie, rock and pop band based in Plymouth, performing tracks from bands such as The Killers, Kings of Leon, Oasis, Snow Patrol and Mumford & Sons.

The lights will be switched on by Santa himself assisted by the Party Princess and our new Mayflower Town Crier at 6.30pm.
