Ocean City Blues N Jazz Festival
The Ocean City Blues N Jazz Festival returns to The Barbican, 9 to 11 August 2019.
The Ocean City Blues N Jazz Festival returns for a third year to the Parade on the Barbican, 10 to 11 August 2019.
Come along, enjoy a drink and a bite to eat while listening to some amazing music.
This is a free event.
We have reluctantly had to cancel the first day of this year’s Ocean City Blues ‘n’ Jazz Festival on Friday 9 August, due to forecast bad weather.
The main concern for us is the potential wind strength (which affects infrastructure safety) and direction (which can increase the amount of rain hitting the stage and electrical equipment). While we understand that spectators and performers will be disappointed, public safety has to be our number one priority.
The festival is still on for Saturday but will get underway at 1.15pm (just over an hour later than planned).
The opening act will now be Jack Cookson and he will be performing in the Blues Bar and Grill while our production team finish setting up.
The stage on The Parade is expected to be ready by 2.30pm and the rest of the day should run as planned.
Sunday will also go ahead as planned, from midday to 6pm.
