Cemeteries and crematoria

Within Plymouth there are four cemeteries, four closed churchyards and two crematoria.

Weston Mill Cemetery and Crematorium

  • Cemetery grounds: Open to the public 365 days a year
  • Office hours: Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm

  • Free music played by the media system

Although our cemeteries are a peaceful area, and we encourage our residents to come and visit, please be aware that dogs are excluded other than Assistance Dogs. Dog Control.

Commonwealth war graves

Weston Mill Cemetery has 398 burials from the First World War and 556 burials from the Second World War and includes a Cross of Sacrifice.

Efford Cemetery has 338 burials from the First World War and 109 burials from the Second World War. There's a wall plaque commemorating 61 Second World War servicemen and women which can be found behind the Cross of Sacrifice.
