Accept a school place

If you have applied for a school place as part of the normal point of entry scheme (applying to start at a primary, junior, secondary or key stage 4 school for the first time in September 2023), all of the following sections, other than in-year admission, apply to you.

Once you've been offered a place at a school, you need to either accept or reject the offer within one week of date of notification. If you don't respond, the place may be allocated to someone else.

If you applied for your school place online, sign back into the Citizen Portal to give your response.

If you applied for your school place by the online firm step form or if your application is included in a later allocation round due to a change of preference or late submission, use our online form below to give your response.

Infant, primary and junior allocations

You need to tell us if you accept your school place allocation from the first round notified on 17 April 2023 between 17 April 2023 and 21 April 2023.

Secondary and key stage 4 allocations

You need to tell us if you accept your school place allocation from the first round notified on 1 March 2023 between 1 March 2023 and 8 March 2023..

In-year admission

This applies to children who are already in a school and are transferring to another school, maybe because they've moved address.

If you've applied for your school place through us, we'll make an offer of a school place and you must email inyear.admissions@plymouth.gov.uk and respond to that offer and if appropriate, whether you wish your child to join a waiting list for a higher ranked school than the one offered.
