Armada Way clean-up

We are anticipating that work to clear Armada Way of felled trees and stumps will take place on Thursday 27 April, in the evening.

In compliance with the court order, we commissioned an independent ecologist to review the branches / fallen trees and tree stumps and put together a methodology for their removal.

A report from the ecologist has now been passed to the claimant in the High Court case, for her expert to review and to comment on.

We will consider any comments and subject to no issues, work will proceed to clean-up the site on Thursday.

As is standard practice when carrying out maintenance work with large machinery and vehicles in high footfall areas, the clean-up work will be carried out at night. It would not be safe to move equipment on and off a construction site during the day. Doing it at night is safer for both businesses, shoppers and residents.

We are aiming to publish further details regarding the plans for the clean-up, along with information as to how the Council will be following the detail of the court order and ecologist’s methodology, as soon as possible.
