Please provide a contact telephone number so a member of the team can contact you regarding payment. Payments can not be made in the office. Please do not send cheques, postal orders or cash to the Register Office.
If you are applying for a certificate because you have attested a birth or death declaration in another district - certificates will be posted to you once the birth or death has been registered. Please use the standard service to ensure you are charged the correct price.
If you are applying for a certificate because you have made an appointment to register a death, but have not yet paid for certificates before the appointment please use the standard service to ensure you are charged the correct price. Certificates will be produced at your appointment.
Cost - £11
If all the required information is provided, certificates will be ready within 10 working days (not including Saturday and Sunday). Family History certificates will be ready within 20 working days (not including Saturday and Sunday). Certificates can be posted first class or collected from the office.
Cost - £35
If you need a certificate quickly we provide a 48-hour service (not including Saturday and Sunday). This service includes one certificate and 1st class postage. You can choose to collect your certificate from the Register Office or have it delivered by Royal Mail first class post. If you collect from the Register Office - certificates will be available after midday, 2 working days after it was requested. If you request postage, certificates will be sent out at the first available opportunity after certificates have been produced.
