All of our rooms licensed for weddings, making the Guildhall the ultimate location for your ceremony and celebration.

The Great Hall

The Great Hall is the grandest room and the crown jewel of the Guildhall. With a red carpet entrance, chandeliers and stained glass windows this room is breathtakingly beautiful. The Great Hall has a large capacity and can seat up to 600 guests for your wedding ceremony. The Lounge bar is included in Great Hall bookings, it is a perfect area for your drinks reception with a licensed and staffed bar, and you can also enjoy having photos taken on our grand foyer staircase. For a reception the Great Hall can host up to 300 people banquet style. There is the option to use our own caterers who can use our kitchen to create a formal three-course meal or alternatively bring your own food if you would prefer something more relaxed.

The Drake Room

The Drake Room is our quirky transformable and exclusive room and is perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Drake Room has its own entrance, foyer and licensed fully staffed bar. Our team can help you create the perfect look and feel for your wedding. The Foyer or Lounge bar can be used for your reception drinks after the ceremony whilst our team transforms the room for your reception. The Drake Room can seat 80 people banquet style and you have the option to bring in a caterer for a buffet meal or bring in your own food, it is up to you. The Drake Room is a perfect space for your reception party and will be the perfect wedding.

The Charter Room

The Charter room is perfect for a more intimate wedding ceremony, seating up to 55 people. The gorgeous stained glass windows really make this room extra special. The ceremony space can be decorated to suit your dream wedding and our professional staff can help you achieve this. You will also have use of the Guildhall forecourt for your wedding car to make that special entrance.

Why not host a drinks reception in the Lounge Bar, where you can enjoy having photos taken on the grand foyer staircase? Or have a full reception in The Drake Room or Great Hall where you can party and celebrate until 1am.
