Also known as the 'People's Park', this registered historic park (Grade II) sits between the communities of Devonport, Stoke, Morice Town and Keyham. Built 150 years ago, it is the oldest formal public park in Plymouth.
Sitting on top of a hill with wonderful views of the River Tamar it's a great place to be active, learn about history, or just watch the world go by. Then why not refresh yourself at the environmentally-friendly park pavilion cafe.
Recent restoration of the park means it's in tip top condition and has something for all ages, including a memorial garden, adventure play for children, a bowls club and a fascinating heritage trail. Devonport Park has been awarded the Green Flag Award, which we are immensely proud of, acknowledging the hard work of staff, volunteers and the local community.

Opening times
Devonport Park is open 24 hours a day and free to use.
Access and seating
Devonport Park is accessible to all with a good network of wide, tarmac paths throughout and wide open entrances, with all paths being suitable for prams and wheelchairs. There is also a good amount of seating throughout the park.
Refreshments
Park Pavilion Café serves a wide variety of food and drink throughout the day. Open times change depending on the season. Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 6pm during the summer and Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm during the winter.
Toilets
The café has toilets which are free to use during café opening hours.
Travel and directions
Situated two miles from the city centre and one mile from Plymouth Railway Station and a short walk from Devonport Railway Station. Devonport Park is accessible using public transport, buses stopping at Park Avenue, Fore Street and Devonport Road.
Parking is limited around the adjacent residential streets, with no official car park.
Main park access from Fore Street, Devonport Road with other access points at Exmouth Road, Milne Place, Park Avenue and New Passage Hill.
