If you need support learning new skills, or help to find a new job, there are services and organisations in Plymouth that can help you.  

Skills Launchpad Plymouth 

Skills Launchpad Plymouth is here to support anyone looking for work, facing redundancy or changing careers. You can speak to the team for free careers advice, find out more about the job opportunities in Plymouth and access lots of resources to help you decide what to do next.  

The Adult Hub supports anyone aged 25+ years and the Youth Hub offers targeted support for young people aged 16 to 24 years, including those with additional needs.  

Plymouth Job Centre 

Plymouth Job Centre Plus can help you with all aspects of finding a job or explain benefits you might be able to claim.

On Course South West 

On Course South West offers courses for adult learners, to help you reach your goals and develop new skills. There’s a range of daytime, evening and online courses and qualifications including maths and English, digital and creative skills.

Free maths courses

Whether you need to get better at managing your bills, helping with your child's homework or improving your potential at work, the free Multiply programme can help you. Courses are available to adults in Plymouth aged 19+, with no GCSE at grade C or equivalent in Maths. Visit On Course South West to find out more.

Support for people with disabilities

If you have a disability or health condition, the Access to Work scheme can help you to get or stay in work. The support available will depend on your needs, but could include a grant to help pay for practical support or communication support at job interviews, or support managing your mental health at work.

Plymouth Charter has created a toolkit with advice for employers and actions that can be taken to make life easier for staff during the cost of living crisis.
