Work is under way on improvements to the Council’s website that will make it more accessible and provide a better experience for those using a mobile or tablet.
Over the next few months plymouth.gov.uk will be updated with a new look and design.
Information will be moved to the new site gradually, so there may be times that you find yourself on the old-style pages or the new ones. We will be working to move information to the new site as quickly as possible and all content will be on the new site by November.
Councillor Riley, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Digital Transformation, said: “Our website is the most popular way for people to find out about Council services and to interact with us. In our manifesto, we said we would make accessing information about local services easier and in one place and the new site aims to do this.
“We also know that more people than ever are using a mobile or tablet and the new site has been designed to be more mobile friendly and to adapt to whatever device is being used.
“If you do use a mobile or tablet, then adding a shortcut to the website to the home screen of your device will provide a quick and easy way to access Council services.”
Information on Council Tax is now live on the new site and we are encouraging people to give us feedback, which we can then use to make improvements as we work on the rest of the site.
