Check out some of our brand new fleet of street sweepers; ready for action in a neighbourhood near you.

They may look small, but each machine can pick up to four tonnes of debris and between the fleet of 10 vehicles can sweep up to 150 miles of highway and pavements a day.

Each are armed with two brush arms which allow sweeping widths of nearly three metres and are being deployed not just in the city centre, but in local neighbourhoods right across the city.

"It's great to these sweepers out on the roads and pavements across Plymouth," said Councillor Tom Briars-Delve.

"We are committed to having cleaner streets and investments in the best tools for the job are important for achieving this."
