Here’s a quick update on the first few weeks of work on the Trefusis Park Flood Relief Scheme.
First up, some really good news about the play area… it will now be open for the entirety of the works.
Originally, it was scheduled to be closed until June and then again for a period between October and December.
But having looked at the work schedule, contractor Kier have been able to move things around to keep the play area both accessible and safe to use during the construction phases.
Whilst this is not anticipated to change, if there is a need to temporarily close it for safety reasons we will let you know again.
Elsewhere in the park, all the site boundary fencing has now been put up.
Work has started on the site entrance and ground preparation works will be starting soon.
A reminder that although most of the grassed sections of the park are fenced off, the path linking Compton Vale to Old Laira Road remains open, as do the woodland paths leading to Carlton Close and Channel Park Avenue.
