Report other roads and pavements issues
Problems with roadworks
Report problems such as barriers, road closure signs, cones or other equipment that:
- are blocking the road or pavement
- have fallen over in bad weather
- works without a permit
- works carried out between 11pm and 7am (except for emergencies)
Illegal work
Report illegal highways work including:
- driving across pavements where there is no dropped kerb
- dropped or extended kerb without permission
- equipment moved across a road or pavement without a permit
- materials stored on the road or path without a permit
- boulders, planters or other bulky items on the road or path
- carrying out any other work without permission
Problem with a skip
Report skips that:
- are blocking something
- you think are unauthorised or illegal
- are not lit up at night
Problem with tables and chairs
Report tables and chairs from cafes and restaurants that:
- are in the way or safety issue
- are outside the border of the business
- don't have a permit on display or have more tables and chairs than allowed
Boats, caravans and trailers not attached to a vehicle
Illegal or unauthorised scaffolding
If you think scaffolding has been put up illegally or is unauthorised you can report it to us.
Report a problem with a wall, fence or railing
This could include:
- crash barriers or pedestrian barriers
- safety fences
- guardrails
- bridge or retaining wall parapet with obvious impact damage or missing loose components
Bollards
You can report bollards that are:
- damaged or no longer upright
- missing
Do not use this form to request a new bollard. We only install new bollards as part of a larger scheme.
Illegal crossing or dropped kerb
You can report a dropped kerb that has been built or used illegally or report other issues with dropped kerbs.
Banners and other illegal or unauthorised signs
Banners are only approved at 3 locations in the city:
- Derriford Roundabout
- Marsh Mills Roundabout
- Billacombe Roundabout
You can report
- banners anywhere but the 3 approved sites
- banners attached to street furniture, structures (e.g. bridges) or hoardings on the highway)
- banners that have been attached using anything but cable ties
- unauthorised A-boards and shop signs on the road or pavement
