Everyone feels welcome

We value inclusivity and diversity

We want to be a diverse workforce which is strong, better performing and represents the community and citizens it serves. An inclusive workplace will make people feel comfortable to be themselves and they will thrive to be their best.

The planned activities to help us achieve this theme are:

Become a Disability Confident Leader

We are in progress of establishing and agreeing delivery timescales to meet the criteria to become a Disability Confident Leader. We anticipate this will be completed by 2024.

Defence Employer Recognition Scheme - achieve 'gold' in the veteran's charter

We have achieved the Defence Employer ‘silver status’ and aim to submit our application for ‘gold status’ by March 2023. A reservist policy has been completed and we are creating The Armed Forces Family network which will be aimed at veterans, reservists and families of the armed forces within our workforce.
