Plymouth Growth Board

The Plymouth Growth Board (PGB) is a private sector led partnership, bringing together representatives from important city organisations to collaborate and drive forward the economic priorities of Plymouth. Its members include representatives of Plymouth University, The Federation of Small Businesses, Plymouth City Council and a number of key employers and organisations. The current Chair is Paul Woods.

Plymouth's economic development is steered by the Local Economic Strategy (LES), first published by Plymouth City Council in 2006. In 2014 the Plymouth Growth Board oversaw a revision of the LES to ensure it better reflects the economic landscape we are working in. The result is six 'flagship' areas focusing on the city's economic priorities.

The LES is also the foundation for the economic policies which feed into the Plymouth Plan.
