Economic strategy

Plymouth completed updating the first phase of the Economic Strategy in March 2024.  The new economic strategy has 4 interlocking pillars which focus activity on:

  1. High value jobs and productivity
  2. Inclusive growth
  3. Sustainable growth
  4. Civic pride and regeneration

Skills and workforce development is a cross cutting theme for all the pillars.  Plymouth is focusing activity on projects which deliver across the pillars to maximise the impact.  The economic strategy will drive the focus of our delivery and we are working on an investment pipeline converting the strategy into delivery.

The Economic Strategy sits under the Plymouth Plan and the following plans sit under it.
