Micro:bits in libraries

Borrow a micro:bit from your library!

The micro:bit is a tiny programmeable computer. It has loads of features including 25 red LED lights that can flash messages and two programmable buttons that can be used to control games. The micro:bit also has a motion sensor, a temperature gauge, compass and Bluetooth antenna.  You can make music, control robots and even code your own Hogwarts Sorting Hat – the possibilities are endless!

The Micro:bit website has lots of ideas and help to get you started.

In the micro:bit starter pack you will find:

  • 1 x micro:bit
  • 1 x micro USB lead
  • 1 x safety and quick start guide
  • 1 x battery pack accessory
  • 2 x AAA batteries

We'd love to hear how you get on. Share your projects and find out what others are doing on social media using #MicrobitsinLibraries
