Plympton Pathfields comprises approximately 11 hectares with habitats including woodland, hedgerows and extensive fields. Pathfields forms part of an ancient trackway and the site is steeped in history.
Wild flower seeds were sown in April 2014 on an area comprising 0.5 hectares to create the Plympton St Maurice Civic Association's Community Wildflower Meadow.
