Dog fouling

You can report dog fouling using our online form. Dog fouling will only be passed to our Streets team and cleaned up if it is an area immediately surrounding a school.

If you know the person or vehicle details your report will be passed to our Environmental enforcement team, who will investigate evidence received in order to take further action.

If you have details of who is responsible for not picking up after their dog, please use the online form. The more information you can provide to help us identify the owner of the dog, the more chance we have of taking action. Please can you make sure you report the time, date, location, and any information you may have about the person walking the dog.

Dog mess can be put in any of the city’s public litter bins and those who don’t clear up after their dogs could face a £100 fixed penalty notice.

To be able to issue these FPNs we need as much detail as possible about incidents. Please help us keep our city clean and free from dog fouling.

We will respond to reports on dog fouling Monday to Friday.
