Sign up in any Plymouth Library!

A year round library challenge for children

The FINDALOTS are aliens sent to Earth to discover more about our world. After their long journey from planet DOALOT, their spaceship has crashed into the library and they’re looking for adventure.

We're asking children to guide the FINDALOTS on their journey of discovery through the library, take on challenges and help the FINDALOTS grow stronger and complete their mission before they return to planet DOALOT.

Aimed at 4 to 11 year olds, all children who sign up will receive an activity journal.

They need to read 4 books each month to receive a sticker.

Each month has a different theme. Complete the special challenges (or borrow 4 more books) to receive a trading card.

After completing all 12 months worth of reading and challenge, they'll receive a certificate and pin badge! They'll then be offered the option to take part again so that they can build up a collection of certificates for Findalots levels one, two and three!

Children's University

The Findalots Library Challenge is registered as an activity on the Children's University website.

Children who have a Children's University passport or online portal can take part in the Findalots' mission and claim stamps in their passport or portal for reading and completing bonus challenges.

Each book read is worth 1 hour, making there 4 hours to claim per month for reading.
Completing a bonus challenge OR reading another 4 books, will earn another hour for your passport. Totalling 5 hours per month!
