Plymouth City Council has 24 lighting columns where banners are permitted. All advertising opportunities provide effective business presence with exclusivity.
We currently have 2 types of lighting column banners available; single and double aspect.
- Single aspect banners are 600mm x 1600mm and are priced at £300 for a period of 3 months, this works out to less than £3.30 per day
- Double aspect banners are 600mm x 1600mm and are priced at £500 for a period of 3 months, this work out to less than £5.50 per day
We will work with you to approve your advert, arrange for the supply and fit of the banner and support arms.
A 50% deposit must be paid upfront to secure the asset and order the printing of the advert for installation. The remaining 50% must be paid before installation of the advert.
Discounts for multiple purchases
- Return customer discount: Our lighting column banners are sold in periods of 3 month contracts. If you wish to purchase the banner for longer you have the option to extend the contract in 3 month increments. An additional 3 month contract, to run concurrently with the initial purchase, will be provided at a discount of 40%

- Multibuy discount: If you decide you would like to purchase 5 lighting column banners at various locations for 3 months we will discount 10% from the total price
- Return customer + Multibuy discount: If you decide you would like to purchase 5 lighting column banners for longer than the initial 3 month contract you will receive a 50% discount from the extended contract/s (to run concurrently with initial contract)
Combining deals
You are able to pick and choose which assets you would like your advert to appear on. You could combine 3 roundabout signs with 5 double aspect lighting column banners spread across the city. This would ensure maximum reach of your advert to local people and visitors to the city.
