You need a personal licence to supply or authorise the supply of alcohol in a licensed premises.
To hold a personal licence you must:
- be 18 years old or older
- have a licensing qualification, such as a level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (NCPLH).

Before you apply read the personal licence guidance:
As part of your application you need to provide:
- A passport style photograph and a photo that has been countersigned
- proof of your right to work in the UK
- a completed disclosure of convictions form
- a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (no more than one month old at the time of application)
- your licensing qualification certificate
