Article

Welcome back – we hope you had a great summer!

This term we are working with Plymouth City Council to really try and drive school attendance over the coming year. Did you know that last year the average attendance at our school was xxx% (insert your school %).

Whilst this may seem acceptable – in reality it isn’t.  Being in school every single day really matters and for every day absent, not only does your child miss out on the knowledge and learning taking place that day, but future learning and knowledge could be hampered.

We all want all our pupils/students to have the best chances of achieving and we want to help any families struggling to get back on track.

A new booklet has been created to give you all the information and advice about school attendance. This is available on our School attendance matters page.

Please remember, we know that there are a host of reasons that children miss school and we are here to help. If you need to talk about your child’s attendance and any issues you might be experiencing – please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Social media post

Welcome back! Let’s give all our pupils/students the best chance of achieving this year and make sure that they are in school every day! If you need help and support, see this new booklet – or reach out to your child’s teacher.
