Once you have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment, (ASYE), you will automatically receive a salaray increment, to Grade H. External applicants who are two-years-plus qualified, will join us at Grade H, and for those who are within the government’s two year window, there is an opportunity to complete your ASYE with us.
We think it is important to recognise however that your learning does not stop when you pass your ASYE. We have listened to what practitioners have told us over the years and aim to support practitioners achieve further progression through our year-two Continuous Professional Development offer, or if you are external, that we support you with the same package after you arrive.
You will have an opportunity to reflect on your learning and achieve the Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice Qualification, which we will fund for you, through the submission of an assignment. You will receive paid study time to complete this. You will have access to a more advanced suite of training and development, reflecting the strides you will have made in your professional development and confidence. In addition, you will have opportunity to engage in facilitated action learning, using supported peer reflection to further your learning.
During this time we will also encourage you to host some shadowing or buddying opportunities for students and new learners. This seeks to fullfill the Academy’s function as a Learning Organisation, in that we all share what we know and can do to benefit the professional development of others.
