The Sky's The Limit (Our Corporate Parenting Strategy)

We have used ‘The Sky’s the Limit’ to talk about our Corporate Parenting aspirations and principles and how they will guide us and shape how we work together.

Corporate Parenting is the term used in law to describe our collective responsibility to care for, support and champion our children in care and care leavers. We want to ensure they have every possible opportunity to reach their full potential as they grow up in our family. We are proud to have wide commitment from key partners across Plymouth who are helping us to embrace and build an Extended Corporate Parenting family. Our aspiration is to build further links to make Plymouth the best place for children and young people to live and grow up.

‘The Sky’s the Limit’ has been written after conversations with children and young people who are experts in their own individual and collective experience with their families and carers involved in their journey. This strategy has been influenced by feedback from children and young people as a result of the Bright Spots survey.
