This is the data for 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 for Plymouth City Council employees (Corporate).

Trade union facility time

Total number of staff who are union representatives (including general, learning and health and safety representatives): 57 (52.81 FTE)

Total number (absolute number and full time equivalent) of union representatives who devote at least 50 per cent of their time to union duties: 3 (2.85 FTE)

A basic estimate of spending on unions as a percentage of the total pay bill (calculated as the number of full time equivalent days spent on union duties multiplied by the average salary divided by the total pay bill): 0.11%

In addition, in accordance with the Trade Union Act 2016: Facility Time Reporting, the attached documents are published to show the Trade Union Facility Time for Plymouth City Council employees; and Trade Union Facility Time for school employees.
