The National Award for SEN Coordination

Target audience: SENCOs and teachers

This Masters level qualification, mandatory since 2009, is for all SENCOs ‘new to the role’.

The Award is taught by SEND SAS in conjunction with Plymouth University.

The one-year course comprises of one twilight introductory session and six taught days with additional tutor support for assignments.

It is strongly recommended that the Head Teacher / an SLT member or line manager attends the twilight introductory session with the SENCO. See details below.

There is a charge associated with this course, which may be able to be funded through a school budget or self-funded.
