Use Self Service to view your council tax details online. It's free and available 24 hours a day!

Access Self Service

You can:

  • set up a direct debit
  • let us know if you've moved home
  • search for your council tax band

If you register and create an account you'll also be able to:

  • view your council tax details
  • view your account balance
  • view your bill details
  • view any payments you've made
  • make a payment
  • view any documents we've sent you
  • view any housing benefit and council tax support you receive
  • sign up for e-billing (paperless)

Create an account

Click on the 'register now' button. You'll be asked for your email address and you'll need to set up a username, password and security questions.

An email will be sent to your email address and you'll need to click on the link to activate your account. Once you've activated your account you can login any time.

If you've already registered and can answer a few simple questions or have received a PIN number from us, you can start using Self Service straightaway.

Adding your account

Have your benefit entitlement letter (if applicable), council tax bill and national insurance number to hand.

Enter your reference number (this can be found on your council tax bill or benefit entitlement letter) and click on the 'access now' button. You'll be asked a number of security questions, if you can't answer these you'll be asked to request a PIN number. The PIN number will be sent to your home address, we can't email PIN numbers.

Once you've received your PIN number you can sign in and select 'add service', type in your reference number then enter your PIN.

Problems with your account
