Pay by Direct Debit
Setting up a Direct Debit is quick and easy.
You can choose to pay
- monthly (choose from 10 or 12 monthly payments, taken on 1st or 15th of each month)
- fortnightly (payment taken on Fridays)
- weekly (payment taken on Fridays)
You will need:
- Council Tax reference number (You can find this on your bill, it’s an 8 digit number beginning with 4 or 5)
- bank name, branch and sort code
- bank account number and the name(s) on the account

If you have problems setting up a Direct Debit online, download a Direct Debit form (or the form included with your bill).

Pay in person
If paying us in person you must pay at least one week before your instalment date so that the payment can reach us in time.
You will need a copy of your Council Tax bill. Take your bill to pay at a:

If you don't have a bill yet
You can tell us on our register or tell us about a change page.
You need to tell us if you have moved or need to start paying.
If you have already been issued a bill but have lost it, you can request a copy of your bill.
