Health and Wellbeing services

From April 2022, all Care Experienced people in Plymouth will be entitled to a range of key services and support from ‘Ask Jan’. Created by the Rees Foundation, ‘Ask Jan’ includes ALL of the following services:

  • A 24-hour counselling helpline with access to a BACP accredited counsellor
  • Up to 8 face to face counselling sessions where assessed and agreed by the counsellor, within 5 days of request
  • Personal finance advice – mortgages, pensions, insurance, debt, and savings
  • Nutrition, exercise, stress and wellbeing advice
  • Specialist advice helplines including housing, legal and citizens advice 8am to 8pm
  • Access to an enhanced wellbeing App: My Possible Self
  • Cognitive behavioural therapy – available online or via the App
  • Discounts and special offers on days out and activities with The Max Card
  • Access to all other Rees Foundation project

Please speak to your Personal Advisor and they will arrange for your membership to be set up.

Plymouth City Council provide free gym and swim membership for care experienced young people aged 18 to 25 at the Plymouth Active Leisure sites. Please speak to your Personal Advisor and they will arrange for your membership to be set up.

There are lots of services available which offer advice and support. These are just a few that you may find useful, but if you are looking for other support, please speak to your personal adviser who might also be able to signpost you to a service who can help.
