Please note, the first Regulation 18 consultation on the Local Green Space Development Plan Document closed in March 2020. Document preparation has now been paused. To stay in touch with what happens next, please ensure you're signed up to our planning news newsletter.
The Regulation 18 Part 1 consultation on the Local Green Space Development Plan (DPD) ran from 7 February to 23 March 2020.
The purpose of this consultation was to seek views on the proposed methodology and the criteria the Councils will use to assess whether or not green spaces within the Plymouth Policy Area (as defined by the Joint Local Plan) should be formally designated as 'Local Green Spaces'.
This Regulation 18 Part 1 consultation was carried out to facilitate early engagement in the preparation of the Local Green Space Development Plan Document. The consultation was carried out in accordance with the Local Development Scheme (2019).
We have made the decision to pause work on the DPD for the present time. This decision was taken in response to the impact of COVID-19 on the council's budget, however, by pausing document preparation we have the opportunity to consider the future of this DPD in the context of the recently announced planning reforms. No decision has been made regarding when work may resume, but everyone who has engaged with the process so far, will be notified once the DPD process re-commences.
