Dementia friendly toolkit

Plymouth City Council and partners are working to make Plymouth a more dementia friendly place and as part of this we have produced a local dementia friendly toolkit to help raise awareness with local organisations.

By 2015, it is predicted that 3,166 individuals in Plymouth will be living with dementia, rising to 3,667 by 2020. Two-thirds of people with dementia live independently within the community.

We are part of the Plymouth Dementia Action Alliance, which is an alliance of businesses and organisations from across the city who are working together to improve the experiences of people living with dementia and their carers.

The toolkit includes a range of useful information on training opportunities, details of useful contacts and other resources, and simple ways that you can make your organisation become more dementia friendly.
