The Kickstarter scheme is a nationwide placement programme for people between 18-24 years of age out of formal employment, education or training at risk of long term unemployment. As part of this scheme, Plymouth Natural Grid will employ 15 young people for 6 month nature based placements. The project assistants are an important part of our team and support the work we do in all areas. This includes hands on practical conservation work to enhance and protect green spaces as well as engagement. Real Ideas has partnered with the project to offer learning support for project assistants to gain 21st century skills such as communication, creative thinking, research and planning needed to thrive in their careers. The team supports project assistants moving into the next stage of their career whether it be in the green industry or another industry of their choice.
