Annual Travel Survey 2023
The survey was run between 18 and 24 September 2023 with a total of 40 businesses taking part.
The responses to the survey have now been analysed and have allowed comparison to be made with the results of the surveys which were run in September 2021 and October 2022.
The results of this analysis show:
- A response rate of 8.1% in 2023; this was 8.6% in 2022 and 7.7% in 2021
- Single occupant car journey mode share of 46.9%; this was 51.4% in 2022 and 52.2% in 2021
- Walking had a mode share of 18.9%; this was 18.2% in 2022 and 12.6% in 2021
- Bus journeys mode share was 11.9%; in 2022 this was 8.8% and 14.5% in 2021
- Journeys by bicycle mode share was 8.04%; in 2022 this was 8.4% and 5.6% in 2021
Individual business reports along with a report covering all the responses have been created and these have been sent to all of the participating businesses.
