Education at Poole Farm

Poole Farm EducationEach year we welcome over 600 children from local schools and other specialist education providers to Poole Farm. We have the full spectrum of age groups from toddlers to teenagers and adult learners too. Our site is perfect for outdoor education and we work closely with partner organisations such as Flint and Steel Forest School, to help little ones to ‘normalise’ being outside, enjoying nature and getting muddy. These education visits are vital in giving people access to the natural environment, broadening life experiences of children living in poverty, providing opportunities to learn about green spaces on their doorstep and how to enjoy them. We aim for children to develop an understanding of the natural environment and food provenance, learning the importance of making positive choices over food while improving their physical and mental health.
