We have been working hard over the last few years to transform Poole Farm from a privately owned, working farm to the relaxing, naturally beautiful site that is rich in wildlife and friendly for schools, therapy groups and volunteers. The farmhouse has been renovated into office/hot-desking space and hireable meeting spaces. Although currently we are only open to pre-arranged groups and events or to purchase farm produce, we are working towards opening to all visitors and our new (£1.7m) network of cycle and walking paths will enable this.
Our recently renovated farmhouse, barns, woodland, meadows community orchard and farm animals make Poole Farm an attractive place to host:
- Educational visits for schools and pupils outside of standard education
- Volunteering and work experience opportunities
- Apprenticeships
- Family events
- Hiring out of meeting room space
- Hot-desking and office space and networking events
- Team away days with activities such as tree planting
- Eco-therapy groups and wellbeing workshops
- Purchase of our own honey, pork and eggs

We are currently working on the ‘Next Steps’ for Poole Farm & Derriford Community Park by working in partnership with other Plymouth City Council departments, external partners, education and healthcare providers, volunteers and the local community. Together we will work to improve the facilities at Poole Farm to create a unique city-wide hub for learning, health and wellbeing, sustainable farming/food production and enterprise with land-based and environmental learning at its core.
