‘The Box’ on North Hill in Plymouth houses a vast heritage collection all on one site. It includes the old museum building as well as new extensions and an impressive refurbishment. The building also extends into the chapel. Plymouth Building Control have been involved in the various concept designs. These designs were challenging because of:
- the complexities of the existing and new buildings
- the need to hold some important national and international artefacts.
The building opened in September 2020.
